Producing Tissue: Tissue Jumbo Rolls
Tissue Jumbo rolls are one of the most essential needs of manufacturers. These semi-finished products can be any size, color, softness and quality depending on the requests of customers.
What Are Tissue Jumbo Rolls?
Tissue Jumbo Rolls, or parent rolls, in other words, are large reels of tissues that are usually bigger than a human. They can be made of different kinds of pulps and can be in different colors that the customer requests.
Use of Tissue Jumbo Rolls
Finished tissue paper products are given their final shapes by converting parent rolls. These “rolls” can weigh up to tons.
Tissue jumbo rolls are transformed in the process from huge parent reels into packed finished products that are ready to be sold in markets. These finished products can be toilet paper, paper towels, tissue napkins, handkerchiefs etc.
Converting Process
Converting process includes steps like unwinding, printing, embossing, rewinding, tail sealing, core making, log accumulating, log saws, wrapping, bundling, case packing, palletizing, and stretch wrapping.
Huge parent reels can be converted by using advanced, high-tech, machinery to complete complicated winding, cutting, slitting, printing, and embossing steps while giving products the softness, strength, and absorbency.
Trading Tissue Jumbo Rolls
According to 2014 data, about 35% of all tissue sold internationally is delivered as parent rolls, which can be transported longer distances than the main part of converted tissue products.
The top 10 parent roll exporters account for around 68% of the global total. Italy and Indonesia were listed to be the two largest suppliers in 2014. Western Europe was responsible for 63% of its total exports and Eastern Europe for 31%, leaving only 6% for deliveries into other regions.
Based on RISI 2014 report on parent rolls, China and Turkey were the third-and-fourth-largest tissue parent roll exporters. The United Kingdom and Israel are the two most important trading partners for Turkey.
